- Students from Humanities, Science or Commerce stream who failed in one subject can appear.
- Vocational Candidates:
- Candidates failing in one trade subject can also apply.

- Candidates will appear in the prescribed UP Board Compartment / Improvement Examination.

- Fee must be deposited through Treasury Challan.
- Candidates must upload challan receipt online.
- Hard copy must be submitted to concerned regional office.
- Submission should be completed within three days after last date.
- Improvement candidates can choose only one subject.
- Compartment candidates can appear in failed subject only.
- Intermediate compartment facility available for one failed subject.
